Phucupz news thing
Tuesday 27th may 2003.

Hello, it's Louis, Phucpuz Anonymouz guitarist/singer (atleast when Krark can't be bothered) here. Xander, the lovely boy wonder, has allowed me the priviledge of being able to write on the site. This is, obviously , very exciting and, in the words of digitiser's very own legendary Mr Biffo, I have literally guffed myself unconscious on several occasions because of this. Anyway, in terms of band news, we have now (finally) got some sound files up on www.phucupz-anonymouz2.co.uk, our other, equally wonderful website. These are a very old version of Power Rangers (recorded, I think, when Jay was still in the band) and a live version of Leftovers which was recorded last friday at the battle of the bands which we played and came second to last in. It's pretty good, the only half decent thing we played that night, which was a complete disaster. The numerous things that went wrong are too many and too tedious to list here, but if anyone cares thenemail us and we mught get back to you, though we probably won't. Basically, though, it was organised by a buch of christian who fucked us about and my effects pedal got stolen. Who by, I don't know, but the guy who organised it basically shrugged when I told him about it. Twat. Other than that, we should finally be recording at boundstone in a week or so thanks to the splendid team of Phil Cobley and Nick Mellish. The songs will be Leftovers, Meet The Parents, Emo Song and Real Chord Song/Sarz, plus Fuck Yourself depending on whether Doug can play it or not. Needles to say, we'll fuck about for a few months afterwards and the songs will be on the website sometime next year. We have some new friends in the shape of RQ, the band who came last in the battle of the twats. They're great, though not everyone thinks so. I'll be their, if i can work out where it is.
Been listening to a lot of hardcore at the moment, especially the distillers, minor threat and the dead kennedys. This is the direction alot our newer, harder stuff has been taking, especially alex's fucking incredible lastest, currently nameless song, which is fucking good news in my my opinion.
Me, Doug and Jay all have exams very soon. Fuck, please kill me.

Okay Krark wont be recording this thursday so we'll probally only record a couple songs, one of which will be 5 minute song for sure, we'll be running thru the more complicated songs with Doug who still needs to learn more songs that we've wrote. thats all

hey ho phucupz!!! we did manage to record with krarko the other day as the 'proper' music he was involved in (for anyone who doesn't know, he plays, like, 5 instruments) finished earlier than was thought. we recorded meet the parents, emo song, five minute song, leftovers, sarz (both of which went a bit 'avant garde') and some covers. the levels were slightly pissy so we're recording again this thursday. we'll probably do the same songs again, along with, if jay's lucky, insecurity, though doug doesn't know how to play that one so that one may seem a bit doubtful. we'll be assisted by the wonderful nick 'legs' mellish who is due to get an A* in music tech, so a big round of applause to him. last time we recorded with simon pettiford and tom, krark's brother, so a massive, ridiculously massive thankyou to them, and and equally grandiose, if knot more so, thankyou to phil cobley for helping us set up the shit and generally explaining what button does what (eg "ohhhh, so THAT'S the 'on' button..." etc.). recordings should be up on phucupz 2 next tuesday (ta jay).

anyway, i hope you're well, i've got to decide whether to do art next year, and then i've got to convince the teachers that i won't fuck up (i don't have a very good track record in that subject ie doing the impossible and failing gcse art, d'oh etc). want to make some short films/videos. any ideas?

Okay you bitches heres what happened at the totally hecktic recording session yesterday. everything BUT recording. unfortunalty even tho music tech god and all round legend Nick Fetish wiggled wires with help from mini krark (tom markwick), called Phil, and generally released the pent up sexual frustration out on it with his fists of fury, it didnt work. tho still were grateful for trying, so recording was a bit of a distaster but oh well. thank you loads for trying nick (the man with many kick ass tee's) We've got down the new song which took me 6 monthes to write (with help from louis,krark and doug naturally) and i can only speak for myself but i think it sounds the fucking dogs hairy bollocks of a song. Krark i think has lyrics in his mind and of course thers louis's "run awayyyyyy"'s which rock. oh and for once im singing/shouting the immortal words "STOP!" and "go!" tho theyre to help doug out i think ill (ass) bung them in anyway. Tho Doug didnt really need anyhelp his drum solo and his fucking fast drum beat do sound fucking incredable and yes i know this sounds cheesy but make the song really come to life
well im off To buffalo to see mah strange in 11 days tho i really wanna play another gig asap, if louis and the other phux could sort that id be foreveer greatful.

p.s on an addition note, im getting kinda down about Krark having to go as i think we're sounding really good at the moment (hell ive even complimented us) not 2 be up our asses, and its gonna be really fucking sucky if krark goes cause although Louis is a very good guitarist it'll be wierd with him at University...oh well were all growing up *tear*

okay heres whats happened lately the newer more up 2 date phucupz page has new n improoved pics from the battle of the bands, and will soon have more mp3's, dougs bio has also been added. no band prac this thursday as Doug and Louis have got tests. louis also had to pull out of a gig at beach green which we wouldve been paid for cause of A Level's too, oh well shit happens. im off 2 buffalo in a week so we probally wont be having a band practice as a complete band for 3 n a half weeks. so long n fuck off.

okay heres whats happened, louis and krark have come back from ireland with the boundstone band tour, doug has come back from holiday some place in england which i cant remember and ive come back from buffalo aka Sarzyland, i might put some pictures of everyones travels on the nu website if i can get smoe from the rest of the band, we're kinda having trouble at the moment. boundstone has officially broken up meaning EVEN MORE TOWNIES!!! and we didnt get to record leaving us with a problem, we've got nowehere to finish out recording! were thinking about louis's next door neighbour whos offered to help and also this possible place in brighton, tho we'll have to pay it will be ideal. the reason for the brighton one being ideal is the lack of decent amps we all have and also between doug and the one our family has we still only have crash symbals and we need rides and splashs and quick crashes and all the other gizmos doug loves to beat up violently to record properally. also recording at this place will probalyl be a bit more proffessional....well not proffessional but will sound a little better than some dudes garage (no offence mr.next door) so we may all pitch in and do that. especially as krark is going to uni in september still leaving us the huge scary question:...

Yesterday we recorded At "squeezy's" (hes the bassist from squeeze.....yes u do know them they sung kool for cats, also they had jools holland in it!) who was a complete legend letting us use his 18 track and his house for 6 n a half hours. there we recorded demos of some of our own songs, including Sarz,Fear of Ducks...,That cool song,and The New Betty Riot. not only that louis got a whole load of song that he wrote which he didnt think would be our sorta thing, or that he couldnt be bothered to teach us. either way the recordings were legendary.

admittedly it was hard as it was EXTREMELY HOT! and everyone was getting irrateable, plus i had a whole load of spiders fall on my head and my back so during recordings i would scream and smash my back against the wall screaming "get it off me for the love of everything sacred get the motherfucker off me!". which of course didnt help the atmoshere especialyl as it didnt have a window. myself and krark actually had very little recording as it was mainly louis but it didnt stop us from all being completely shattered! so thanks to squeezeys and his family for letting us invade his house for a quater of the day. btw good luck squeezeys daughter in learning busted songs...even if they are shit, she was kinda sweet....even if she did put down my painted nails...bastard! lol
other exciting news Sam and his Punk-Emo band "seems like forever" have realeased an E.p called Can't SleE.P if advise that u buy this for £5 and if u wanna get it then contact me at Xander@phucupzanonymouz.co.uk and ill give u an adress! speaking of which we're looking into playing gigs are margate thanks to Sam and his girlfriend Sasha who have helped no end and i just wanna say HOLY SHIT THERES ANOTHER SPIDER ON ME ARGHHHHH GET OFF ME YOU COCK SUCKER!!!
